Sigrid Rosier shares the lustful darkness of ‘Grey’

Positioning herself at the cutting edge of electronic music with genre-bending abilities that defy categorisation, Sigrid Rosier’s abilities have not gone unnoticed. Her debut album Trinity, was released to critical acclaim, captivating a worldwide audience the artist had been building since 2020.

The songwriter’s latest single is ‘Grey’, a track that sees the artist blend atmospheric, dark experimentalism with a phonk and electro-pop sensibility. Through plucky melodies in the instrumentation and a sense of infinite space surrounding her production, Sigrid creates a tight and immersive experience, able to bounce between captivating audiences through a haunting ethereality to electrifying listeners with an infectious pop charge. The lead synths cascade on the pulsating bass lines and crisp, steady drum production. With rattly hi-hats and punchy kicks, the track charges forward into the shadowy haze, leaving a celestial presence in its wake.

Sharing a comment on her mystical forthcoming EP No Real Person Involved Sigrid adds, “The majority of the work was written when I was a teenager. They are based on real events. The world was such a myth when we were young, we didn’t know who we wanted to be but still had way too much fun doing absolutely nothing. Personally, the time of youth deserves to be celebrated, no matter the fragility. And I want to preserve my youth with this EP.”
