“Try is a song about spending the summer away from home and being absolutely carefree. Not knowing anyone, but then meeting the coolest person ever, a girl. After spending half the summer with her, an emotional connection is made but for her it’s just fun. It’s the turmoil of choosing to devote your time and emotion on someone who doesn’t want anything serious or to just have fun alongside them keeping it simple and carefree.”
