Soaked ignite a firestorm with explosive new single ‘Talk About It’

Southend-on-Sea’s powerhouse indie punk trio Soaked are back with a blistering new single, “Talk About It.” Fusing gritty riffs, relentless drums, and raw, unfiltered vocals, the track channels frustration into an urgent anthem that demands attention.

Written in the aftermath of the 2024 UK riots, the song captures the restless energy of a generation pushed to the edge. Frontman Brandon Frisby explains:
“The song isn’t directly about the riots, but it reflects the frustration in British society — especially for young people who feel unheard. The chorus, ‘when the levy breaks,’ is about reaching that breaking point. I called it ‘Talk About It’ because I genuinely believe so many of these issues could be helped if people just communicated and came together.”

Despite the weighty themes, “Talk About It” never drags. Instead, it surges forward with breakneck intensity, blending elements of The Jam’s sharp lyricism, the raucous energy of Sex Pistols, and the infectious hooks of Arctic Monkeys. It’s loud, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.

“Talk About It” is the first of three singles planned for 2025, kicking off what promises to be a massive year for Soaked. After playing 40 shows in 2024, including a support slot for The Libertines, the band is gaining momentum fast, with slots already booked at Wilderness Festival and Reef Blue Festival.

With “Talk About It,” Soaked proves they’re a voice for a generation ready to break the silence. If this track is anything to go by, 2025 is set to be their year.
