Serving up two albums and countless singles in the two years since their debut, Sonic Dopamine is a three-piece that embodies an unfiltered rock and roll spirit.
With their new single ‘Looks Betray’, Jonathan Wolle (guitar and vocals), Batman Castelli (bass) and Gavin Chinchar (drums) come together to deliver a grungey mix of punchy drums, dynamic bass lines, powerful guitars and a performative vocal. The catchy top line brings an added nostalgia for the sounds of the 90s, but the overall sound catapults it right into the alt-rock indie scene of 2024.
Johnathan shares, “This is the kind of music I’ve always wanted to make. The song came together surprisingly quickly and I feel like it’s the first time we’ve had a consistent sound. The lyrics are more honest than ever, and Castelli’s harmonies are so good I still can’t believe he joined the band!”
Alongside their energised performances, the band shared a new video for the track, allowing the frontman to show off his performances on camera.
