Independent East London singer-songwriter Ashley Singh has launched his brand new EP ‘So You Just Broke up’ accompanied by an emotive music video for the viral hit
‘Soul Tied.’
‘Soul Tied’ begins with a gentle and calming piano melody and vibrant vocal harmonies from Ashley Singh, that give life to heartfelt and raw lyrics that have an emotional intensity to them.
Amassing over 15 million views on TikTok and Reels, and over five million streams across stores in just three months, the track shows no signs of slowing down as Ashley continues to connect with those who have lost someone special.
Evoking heartfelt moments and juxtaposing these with their stark absence, the atmospheric video plays with light and dark to create a textured and tangible portrayal of love now lost.
The video is directed by Charlotte Meling and produced by Only Child Collective.
Ashley aims to provide comfort through the window and explains that he hopes “people going through a breakup feel seen in the video. I think if that happens and it allows them to confront the memories that are painful, then some healing can start to happen. I think there’s comfort in the idea that we all go through this all-encompassing heartache when we lose somebody and hopefully, that can help viewers feel a little less alone.”
