About Stephen Sol:
Stephen Sol is a Washington, D.C.-based singer-songwriter whose music fuses classic rock, folk,and indie influences. Backed by a dynamic nine-piece band, he delivers a sound inspired by artists like Mac DeMarco, My Morning Jacket, and The Beatles. With soulful vocals and introspective lyrics, his songs explore themes of love, metaphysical wonder, and human connection, crafting a timeless rock sound.
Sol’s musical journey began at age 14, inspired by his grandfather,Boots, a devoted fan of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. His passion deepened as he absorbed the sounds of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Steely Dan, later evolving with influences from Dave Matthews, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson. More recently, he has drawn inspiration from Zach Bryan’s raw storytelling,with a personal connection—his cousin, Read Connolly, plays banjo and pedal steel in Bryan’s band.
In 2024, Sol headlined two sold-out shows at Galactic Panther and performed at Breaking Sound in December. Following another electrifying show at Union Stage in January 2025, he is now set to release Eternal Peace, building momentum for his debut album later this year.
