Tara Hack reveals protest song ‘Utopia’

New York-based singer-songwriter Tara Hack’s new single ‘Utopia’ is a dramatic homage to the 1960’s era of protest songs, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and the infamous “Summer Of Love”. A turbulent age not too dissimilar to present times, when profound cultural shifts and social change seemed to come out of nowhere and spread like wildfire. The single is released via Ben-Addiction Music (Believe).

“I was watching the news about riots in Portland and the attack on the Capital and I picked up my guitar and somehow found myself playing the riff of “Utopia,” says Tara;

“I am so proud of this song because to me, it speaks to the current moment in our history and the importance of staying hopeful in the midst of difficult and challenging times.”

Tara hopes that ‘Utopia’ will inspire listeners to join the struggle for a better world and help them imagine a future where justice and equality are the norms and not the exceptions.

With its powerful message and dynamic sound (produced by veteran hit makers and Ivor Novello-Award winning songwriters, Nick Coler and Phil Pickett) ‘Utopia’ has the potential to become an anthem for a whole new generation of activists and artists who are working to build a more just and equitable society.
