Hailing from Galway, Telebox is a new alternative quartet who have spent the past two years building a name for themselves touring across the UK and Ireland, alongside making the rounds on press and radio. With playlist additions to boot, the band have now arrived at their second EP release When Night Turns Into Day.

The project brings bags of talent, Telebox blending a shoegazey psychedelia with a glittered alternative indie infectiousness. Each lead instrument, guitars, vocals or otherwise are given plenty of opportunity to control the melody, their melancholic tones swirling within a picturesque, steady backdrop. Powerful both in the moments of raw intensity and in the moments of stripped-back emotion, Telebox carries with them a sense of experience and purpose, a deep knowledge of their vision that translates beyond the intricacies of the arrangement into a wider atmosphere, crossing the boundary from music into art.

The band share their thoughts on the new project, “When Night Turns Into Day explores a vast plain of emotions felt by the band during their interrailing trip across Europe. It snapshots a series of little moments that would usually go unnoticed. ‘When Night Turns Into Day’, the final line of the EP, is a line reminiscent of those late nights turned mornings that make us appreciate the world around us. The time frame during which the songs on the EP were written was at a point of big change for the band as members moved out and started college. The EP involves senses of frustration, joy and nostalgia which can reflect the adjustment to new surroundings.”
