The Silver Lines unleash aggressive new single ‘Tame’

Supported by a slew of tastemakers from across the press and radio, The Silver Lines are a set of Birmingham-based alternative rockers who lace their music with an unstoppable rebellion. Added to Spotify’s ‘All In Rock’ editorial and playing at festivals across the globe, including Trans Musicales, New Colossus Festival, Stockton Calling, Focus Wales and MosFest.

With a powerful ferocity in every lyric delivery, The Silver Lines’ latest single ‘Tame’ is brimming with punk-tinged energy, wasting no time in finding a reason to unleash aggressive riffs and gritty performances. The drums are a high-energy foundation, the bass a rhythmic backbone, leaving plenty of room for screeching guitar tones and stadium-filling vocals. Almost losing control of their own energy by the end of the track, the band drives on, breaking down walls and limits as they roar to the end.

The band dives into the track, “Tame is a song which explores the power of keeping femininity in response to a patriarchal environment, regardless of gender and political stance. Lyrical themes include secrecy and hiding one’s true self, over indulgence of pleasure which may be unbecoming and external pain inflicted.

Musically it is a prime example of light and shade with a sparse verse and a heavy thick chorus. The song deliberately has an outro longer than the actual song, a premeditated move by the band in response to the very formulated music being released currently which follows a ‘certain’ structure in order to attract their 10 minutes.”
