Returning with her latest single, ‘Jennifer’, singer-songwriter thea wang’s melancholic acoustic sound is pushed further with intense vocals and a powerful violin solo.
With the subtle layers of thea’s angelic tones becoming the main focus of the new track, ‘Jennifer’ focuses on a dramatic love triangle surrounding the title character, where thea found inspiration from a unique place to capture the tragic story.
“I watched my neighbours’ confrontation, and then imagined the ultimate breakup where the main character is (almost unbelievably) happy for her partner to fall in love behind her back.” Says thea, who is working with producer Andrew Keller to deliver her whole upcoming debut album. “The most important thing for this person is for Jennifer to be happy, and free to leave if that is what feels right to her.”
Following the previous tracks ‘While He Is Still Asleep’ and ‘Tell Me About It’, ‘Jennifer’ completes the artist’s first three immense musical narratives.
