Announcing their new EP Pretty For Now with a fantastic new single, Three Years Younger is solidifying themselves as a pair to watch. Drawing comparisons to the sounds of Birdy and the theatre of The Last Dinner Party, the band have received BBC Radio 1 airplay, a slot on ITV News and been supported by major music publications.
Bringing bright ethereality, ‘Lost Path’, opens with an immediately magical and climactic setting. Cinematic piano echoes around the mix into the first verse, allowing a delicate vocal alongside the instrumentation. Continuing to expand with rhythmic drums, new instrumentation and a distant rising harmonic line, the music becomes a wash of grace, eventually bursting into life once again as the vocals fly into the forefront. Beautiful, frenzied, yet cherished, the tone set for the upcoming project is boundlessly exciting.
The duo share, “‘Lost Path’ is one of our oldest and most cherished songs. It was born out of the struggle we both felt to stay true to ourselves while navigating the pressures to ‘fit in’ and take the safest route.”
