Having first established his name in the music industry as a performer and creative voice of internationally touring indie bands, while also having experience producing and writing music for soundtracks of national TV and major films, Tonner has successfully launched his solo alias, releasing a series of singles that will lead to his debut EP ‘Whispers’ In The Dark.
Following his successful single “Criminal”, the experienced musician just released yet another tasteful single with “Train To Paris”. As expected, the artist’s vocals are at the forefront and his smooth lyrical content matches the lush instrumentation; ‘Train To Paris’ it’s a song driven by smooth keys, basslines, and guitar licks, while Tonner’s vocal harmonies drive the composition forward.
“Train To Paris is inspired by a true story of losing everything, running all the way across the pond to get away from an old life, and finding myself stronger than ever. This song took me years to write, and after that, I wasn’t sure I wanted to share it with anyone. When I play it, I’m mentally revisiting a transformational time in my life. I have to get into that space to really give the vocals the right energy. Kind of like saying “fuck you, I’m doing this on my own.”

It took form as a dark, enticing, and hypnotic groove. The vibe is a little eerie, but it’s also enticing and danceable. It’s got kind of a swaggering bounce. I wanted to show off some of my chops on guitar and bass, in comparison to some of my other songs which are more restrained technically.”
