A busy festival season and releasing five singles and their second EP ‘M E S S,’ in 2024 would be enough of a challenge for most musicians, but not Twayn!
The girls decided that they wanted to write a Christmas song and came up with this charming love story ‘Christmas Market.’
‘Christmas Market’ shines with mesmerizing acapella harmonies that are layered are behind the main vocals.
The lyrics of the song see Twayn tell the tale of a magical trip to a Christmas market with a loved one, whilst soaking up all of the sights, scents and sounds of the season and enjoying this precious time together and hoping for another magical year ‘around the sun’ so that they can enjoy the festivities again together next year.
As a very visual track with a strong narrative, the girls saw an opportunity to create an accompanying video, which will be premiered soon and really brings the song to life.
They approached the Animation Department at the University of Sunderland to see whether any students might want to work on the project, and Ella MacDougall and Jenni Romeril stepped forward and were keen to get involved.
The track will be accompanied by an achingly sweet video animation produced by these two extremely talented, second year students, which also showcases some iconic landmarks from the Northeast.
Twayn will also be supporting Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra on his Winter Tour at Newcastle’s iconic City Hall on Thursday 5th December 2024 where they will, of course, be performing the track.
If you haven’t seen or heard of Twayn yet, ‘Christmas Market’ will almost certainly put them on your radar!
