Twilight Lounge offers a psychedelic reflection on his life with ‘Nothing Never Ends’

Emerging as the creative product of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Noah Shaner, Twilight Lounge offers a shape-shifting sonic palette that flickers between the lines of genres. Born in Alabama and now based in LA, the musician first made his mark with 2021 debut ‘Have You Seen The Roses When They Bloom?’. Now, almost three years later, Twilight Lounge returns with his latest cut, ‘Nothing Never Ends’. Taken as the focus track from his new EP, ‘Does It Make Sense Yet?’, the track provides an enticing glimpse into the project.

While the initial idea for ‘Nothing Never Ends’ came to light in his hometown of Alabama, it was when the musician moved to LA that it came to life. Revelling in the spark found within ‘90s indie psychedelia, it sees cascading production culminate to create a sound that is both evolved and in line with previous work. Situated against a fizzing backdrop of buzzy guitar lines, shimmering synths, and commanding percussion, Twilight Lounge’s purposeful vocals muse over existential questions.

Explaining the meaning behind the track, Noah says “On one level, ‘Nothing Never Ends’ is a love letter. On another level, it’s a track about realizing that you have the ability to change your life. Nothing changes unless you change something.”

Tapping into a more vulnerable side to Twilight Lounge’s artistry, the track offers a deep dive into his thoughts and emotions. While contemplative verses are laden with strikingly self-aware confessions, a hard-hitting chorus strikes impact in capturing the intentionality of taking charge of your own decisions. Offering three minutes of raw introspection, ‘Nothing Never Ends’ is a considered piece that secures Twilight Lounge as an artist who cannot be placed into a singular box.

‘Nothing Never Ends’ arrives alongside Twilight Lounge’s new EP ‘Does It Make Sense Yet?’. Refusing to conform to the lines of genres, the four-track project melds together elements of alternative rock, psychedelia, indie, shoegaze, and grunge. Following on from May’s single ‘Play The Game’, it continues to craft his unique vision, laden with shifting dynamics and thought-provoking insights. As the first body of work since his 2023 self-titled EP, it sees Twilight Lounge mark the entrance to a new era for his artistry.
