Uncle Kid has given ‘What A Wonderful World’ a modern make over with contemporary lo-fi and chill beats

Uncle Kid makes dark, broody, understated trip hop with spoken word.

His debut EP ‘Indistinct Chatter’ grabbed the attention of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson who describes him as an “unsettling Scottish artist” and hailed his first single ‘Supermarket Sweep’ as “a song for our times”.

His recent collaboration with producer SkinnyBoy Tunes on ‘As Above So Below’, was featured on the Marc Riley show on 6 Music where it was described as “evocative poetry”.

He has followed this up with the August release of his latest single and music video – his take on the Louis Armstrong classic ‘What A Wonderful World.’

Uncle Kid has given ‘What A Wonderful World’ a modern make over that begins with contemporary lo-fi and chill beats before we are further captivated by stirring vocals and upbeat instrumentals.
