Welsh Alt Hip Hop Newcomer Conrad Stone Shares Emotive Single ‘Moonlight’

Born and raised in ‘The Valleys’ in South Wales, the multi-instrumentalist songwriter Conrad Stone pauses to reflect on his journey with the release of his new sincere new single ‘Moonlight’.

The Sonni-produced track is a nod to Conrad’s love of US emo-rap, paired with wavy vocal melodies akin to artists such as D-Block Europe. Throughout ‘Moonlight’, Conrad is full of emotion as he raps and sings about making sure he doesn’t fall into old ways and sticks to the right path.

Despite growing up in the cold, harsh and uninspiring environment in South Wales, Conrad has been able to craft a kaleidoscopic journey into music. From learning piano and becoming a solo acoustic pop punk artist in his early years, to spitting bars over 140 BPM beats on P110 and freestyling at drum n’ bass raves his experience has been varied. He describes his sound as ‘underdog emo R&B’, which has been inspired by his musical diet of The Kid Laroi, Travis Scott, Green Day, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance.

With a string of singles under his belt, a growing fanbase and musical community developing, Conrad is emerging from the shadows of The Valleys and taking his unique and emotive music out into the world.
