Up and coming Atlanta-based artist and producer A Broken System is fresh from the release of his debut album, An Escape, which definitively proves the versatility of his talent.
From ambience swathed in lush reverb to the futurism of aural dystopia, this relentlessly explorative 8-track release delivers it all. The eclecticism is one thing; how succinctly A Broken System pulls together elements of nature, synth-rock, the white noise of urban living, and hip hop is quite another. The standout single, Separately, is a progressive trip-hop masterpiece. The glitchy progressions, seemingly ambiguous vocal samples and the irreplicable sound of vintage synths fuse to provide an immersive sensory experience like no other.
The neo-classic end to the album ensures that An Escape is a record not easily forgotten. A Broken System’s neo-classical composition form is nothing short of stunning in the ambient soundscape that provides an opportunity to catch a breath and be at one with the quiescent alchemy.
An Escape was officially released on December 3rd. It is now available to stream and download on all major platforms.
