Aaron Carter has been arrested for driving under the influence, marijuana possession, and possession of drug-related paraphernalia.
It has been reported that he was pulled over last night (15th July) in Georgia, USA, by Habersham County Sheriffs. The arresting officers claim that he “refused to submit to testing for a suspected DUI“.
The singer and his girlfriend, who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time, were both arrested after he refused a breathalyser, and blood/urine testing.
Carter was scheduled to play a show in Kansas City that night but tweeted hours before to cancel due to “transportation issues“. Check out the tweet below.

Following the incident, he tweeted defending himself. In the first of two, he stated: “Walk away from gossip and verbal defamation. Speak only the good you know of other people and encourage others to do the same.” In a second tweet, he prompted others to “Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim.” See both tweets below.

Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself
