Amazing Snakeheads’ Dale Barclay has died aged 32

Tributes have been pouring in as news has come to light that Dale BarclayThe Amazing Snakeheads’ frontman, has died of brain cancer at the age of 32.

His death comes only a month after a GoFundMe campaign was launched to fund treatment, following Barclay’s diagnosis with grade four Glioblastoma brain cancer late last year. Bands including Shame, Franz Ferdinand, Fat White Family and Honeyblood took to Twitter to share their support.

“There is no doubt, whatsoever, that I’ll be living with cancer for as long as I am alive. However time pans out, it’s here, it’s now and it’s not going anywhere. The NHS have been stellar, true heroes – too many to mention. They have done everything in their power for me, but my treatment from here on out is going to cost money. I need specialist care. I am officially a customer. This is the reality.”

Since the news of his death has been confirmed, bands and fans alike have been paying their respects to the iconic musician on Twitter.

The Amazing Snakeheads announced their split in 2015 before Barclay later joined Glasgow group And Yet It Moves.
