It has been reported that Ariana Grande and members of her tour crew have had bee tattoos inked on their bodies as a tribute to the people of Manchester.
The 23-year-old singer returned to Manchester over the weekend to play a benefit concert for the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack which took place less than two weeks ago. The benefit concert sold out in six minutes and raised in excess of £2 million, pushing the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund to £10 million.
After the benefit concert on Sunday evening (4th June), Manchester Ink parlour tattoo artists joined Grande and her crew backstage to give them bee tattoos. The bee tattoo has since become popular with Manchester’s citizens following the terror attacks as the worker bee has traditionally been used as a symbol of the city’s industrial past.
The One Love Manchester benefit concert was an incredibly moving and successful event with performances from Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, and the Black Eyed Peas, among others.
It is unknown whether Grande plans to resume her Dangerous Woman world tour which she suspended following the attack.
