Bruce Springsteen has announced that he is working on a new solo album to be released next year, alongside plans for a 2019 UK tour with the E Street Band.
The Boss says he is getting “back to my day job”, following his successful stint with one-man show Springsteen on Broadway.
The forthcoming album will be Springsteen’s first since 2014’s High Hopes.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, Springsteen said of the new release: “For lack of a better word, it’s a singer-songwriter album – more of a solo record.”
Dates are yet to be announced for the upcoming tour and album.
Not to fear, though – you can get your fix of the Boss on 16th December, when Netflix premieres a concert film version of Springsteen on Broadway.
