Coldplay have responded to the claims a Fox News host made stating that Radiohead were “the poor man’s Coldplay“.
Earlier this week a segment on the news channel aired where Greg Gutfeld was joined by comedian Kat Timpf and some questionable remarks were made about Radiohead’s music. The comedian had previously described the band’s fanbase as “strange, malnourished and sad” and during the show, Gutfeld said: “You know, Radiohead is a fine band but they stole everything from Coldplay… Like Radiohead is the poor man’s Coldplay.
Now, Coldplay have responded via Twitter joking: “Finally somebody had the balls to say it!”. See their tweet below.

Following Timpf’s comments about Radiohead fans, the band’s guitarist, Jonny Greenwood, changed his Twitter bio to read: “my life in the gush of boasts……….’strange, malnourished and sad’ (fox news – *spits three times*)”.
