Game of Thrones star, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), used to be in a punk band called Whizzy.
Back in the early ’90s, the actor fronted the band who were reportedly a fusion of punk, rap, and funk, and sounded a lot like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. There is unfortunately no video footage of the band online but a number of photo’s from one of their early sets has emerged online. Check out one of the photos above and see the rest below.
A number of other GOT cast members have also had pretty interesting and fairly obscure backgrounds. Jerome Flynn (Bronn) achieved three number one singles as part of a pop duo called Robson & Jerome; Paul Kaye (Thoros of Myr) once played an interviewer called Dennis Pennis who trolled celebrities, and Rory McCann (The Hound) once stared in a porridge advert.
