Glue70 releases new record ‘Dark Days’

Glue70 has treated fans to a double release, with new single ‘Dark Days’ and previously heard ‘Time Goes Slow’ dropping as a combo today (June 12th). It’s the first release of the year for this Mancunian producer, following December’s ‘What You Want’, which is not the first of his tracks to surpass one million streams. Whilst previous tracks veered towards hip-hop, jazz and house, the new ‘Dark Days’ release is distinctively rooted in glue70’s signature ambient sound, with a more soulful spin. The reverb-soaked vocal chops that are so typical of glue70 are cast over chill-hop beats and shimmering keys, with spacey sound effects taking listeners into an alternative realm.

Speaking of the inspiration behind ‘Dark Days’, glue70 shares that: “This track explores the feeling of isolation and sadness which sometimes passes over us, even when we might be around people like our friends and family, and that this feeling is okay as we all have dark days sometimes.”

For a producer who discovered how to make music via a video-editing software, glue70 has mastered the skill of manipulating sounds and refining his talent. His DIY approach has led to widespread recognition, with tracks being featured on multiple Spotify playlists and viral track ‘Casin’ racking up over 13 million streams. With around 400K listeners to date, glue70 has already established an impressive following ahead of the release of his album ‘2070’ later this year.
