A month or so ago, Jack White confirmed that he was putting the finishing touches on his “bizarre” new album. Today a new video/track entitled ‘Servings and Portions from my Boarding House Reach‘ was put out online with absolutely no further information. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to be gleaned from that evocative title and the track itself.
Listening to the track, it seems to be a compilation of different songs from the promised album, and it does indeed sound “bizarre.” Moreover, it sounds like the most diverse and sonically adventurous album that Jack White has put out in his solo career.
