John Mayer has unveiled a novel release strategy for forthcoming album ‘The Search For Everything’.
Revealing new details about the record via a series of Instagram posts, the guitarist announced that he will be releasing four tracks from the album per month.
The first phase of the release, set for January 20th, will include the tracks ‘Moving On And Getting Over’, ‘Changing’, ‘Love On The Weekend’, and ‘You’re Gonna Live Forever In Me’.
Explaining the unique strategy, Mayer said: “There were too many songs to ever get out the door at once.”
The lead single from the record, ‘Love On The Weekend’, was released last month. Mayer has also promised to tour both before and after the summer – when he hits the road with Dead & Company -although no details have been revealed as yet.
