Liam Gallagher has debuted his first solo single, ‘Wall Of Glass’

Liam Gallagher has debuted his first single from his upcoming album, As You Were.

Wall Of Glass‘ was premiered on MistaJam‘s BBC Radio 1 show on Wednesday night. The former Oasis frontman introduced the song by saying “This is ‘Wall Of Glass’, turn it up.

The video has now been released, which you can see above. Speaking to Pitchfork about the video, he said: “I did get to wear a gold Saint Laurent hooded jacket in one scene, which I convinced myself made me look like a modern day Elvis, as he loved to wear gold suits.

The single comes from his upcoming album, which is reportedly due for release in October. Speaking about working with writers for the record, Gallagher said: “I’d never be able to write a whole album, we’d be here all year. I’m not that prolific.”

For me, it’s just a rock n roll tune, guitar music. Some people try to reinvent the wheel, but I just like to give it a good shine.

The single comes after his first solo performance at a Manchester show on 30th May. He performed new tracks from the album, as well as playing several Oasis songs.
