Bath isn’t known for its musicians. Peter Gabriel is the obvious exception, unless you call Bill Bailey a guitarist.
However, comedians and Genesis aside, a new young rock band Pink Hotel might tell you something different about the city’s arising rock scene.
Fronted by Sam Gotley, Pink Hotel are a 4-piece rock and roll band. The bands new single ‘She Doesn’t Know’, is 3 minutes of in-your-face rock music, a blend of Nickelback and The Raconteurs.
Speaking about their new single, the band quotes:
“She doesn’t know is a song about a boy trying to get a girl who’s playing hard to get, probably something every teenage boy can relate to. But the choruses suggest that she might have underestimated him, in any case it’s a song about young love that is doomed from the start, quick, painful and a disaster from beginning to end. The inspiration for the feel and groove of the song came from a couple of old Rolling Stones numbers like under my thumb and bitch.”
