Taylor Swift‘s fans have reportedly been sending death wishes to Dua Lipa after she spoke out about her love of Kanye West.
Lipa had previously been praised by Swift and her fans after she was spotted wearing the Reputation singer’s merch in Germany at a sound check. “I AM SCREECHING WITH JOY” Swift even posted after finding out.

But now it seems like the singer’s fans are less than impressed with the ‘New Rules‘ singer after she chose Kanye, someone who has had a controversial relationship with the pop artist, over Swift in a “cats-or-dog-style-quiz”.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about her choice between the two Lipa said that she “wasn’t thinking about their beef,” and that she was “thinking about their music“.
“Taylor is amazing, but I’m such a hip-hop fan that I would probably choose Kanye over anyone.”
This sparked a social media storm on Lipa’s Instagram account where Swift’s fans were flooding her profile with snake emojis and, in some cases, death threats.
“They were sending me snake emojis for, like, three days straight. They’re like, ‘I hope you die.’ I’m like, ‘Yo! I literally didn’t say anything’”, she explained.
Last week Dua Lipa appeared on the BBC Live Lounge with Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, MØ, and Alma for a performance of her latest single, ‘IDGAF’.
