Comedy rock legends Tenacious D have revealed details of their first UK show of 2019 – and it’s a big one.
Jack Black and Kyle Gass will perform one of their biggest shows to date, on 2nd June at London’s SSE Arena Wembley on June 2.
The show is hot on the heels of the pair’s fourth album, Post Apocalypto, which came out last November 2018, and featured a cameo from Dave Grohl on drums.
The release was paired with a Jack Black-animated YouTube series of the same name.
The synopsis of the surreal videos teases: “Post-Apocalypto finds Tenacious D thrust into a world of complete and utter destruction following the drop of an atomic bomb. Surviving the attack in classic cinematic fashion (a good old imperishable 1950’s refrigerator), the duo quickly learns that new forms of evil have spawned from the blast.”
Tickets for the show go on sale at 9:00 am, Friday 1st February.
