The Darkness are set to perform their 2003 festive hit, ‘Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End)’ on The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special.
The episode will air on Channel 4 at 8pm on Christmas Day, welcoming back ex-contestants Liam Charles, Flo Atkins, Jane Beedle and Andrew Smyth who will all vie for the coveted position of Christmas Star Baker.
The Darkness’ Christmas single reached number two in the UK singles chart when it was initially released back in 2003, losing out only to Gary Jules’ cover of the 80s hit ‘Mad World’ by Tears For Fears.
The band have been busy this festive season, just recently releasing a new version of the track, ‘Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End) Live At Hammersmith’, which was recorded at their headline show in 2017 – check it out above.
