Bonnie Tyler recently announced that she was gearing up to sing ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart‘ on board a cruise ship during an eclipse.

Whilst the eclipse took place yesterday, the singer stayed true to her word. The singer teamed up with DNCE and the pair performed the iconic power ballad on the Oasis Of The Seas cruise ship.

Speaking about the performance, Tyler previously said: “It’s going to be so exciting. It doesn’t happen very often, does it?”

The recent show has subsequently been responsible for a huge spike in Tyler’s record sales. Digital downloads of ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart‘ soared by 503% that week ending on 20th August, with 12,000 downloads in the U.S.

The cruise ship was reportedly positioned in “the path of totality” during the performance so Tyler’s show was able to coincide with those aboard the Royal Caribbean vessel seeing the eclipse.
