Kendrick Lamar promised one of his fans a new wheelchair van during a back stage meet-and-greet session on his latest tour.
After the rappers Dallas, Texas, show last week he invited Jennifer Phillips, a quadriplegic fan who uses a wheelchair, to a backstage meet-and-greet session. Lamar then presented Phillips with a signed DAMN tour hoodie with a message on the back which thanked her for her years of support. The message also promised that Lamar would make sure she would be “comfortable driving the city”.
The full message reads: “Thank you for always supporting me. Your[sic] A[sic] inspiration for me. You are strong and positive. Your kind and beautiful. For all the years of inspiring me, the least I can do is make sure your[sic] comfortable driving the city. A gift from me to you. Your[sic] always appreciated! K Lamar.”
