The National performed a cover of Talking Heads‘ classic 1979 track, ‘Heaven‘, during their show at the Eventim Apollo in London.
The band are currently touring following the release of their new album, Sleep Well Beast, which was released earlier this month (8th September). The group’s four date run at the West London venue kicked off on Monday (25th September) with last night’s show drawing to a close with an encore of ‘Heaven‘. Now, footage of the cover has emerged online which can be seen below.
Earlier this week, The National covered New Order‘s ‘Love Vigilantes‘ as part of a two date run in Manchester and are currently concluding a tour in support of there new album, which charted at Number 1 on the UK album Charts.
‘Heaven‘ appears on Talking Heads’ Brian Eno produced record Fear of Music which was released back in 1979.
