Rita Ora recently made a surprise appearance on The Voice Germany which backfired after the judges of the show failed to recognise her.
Ora, who was a judge on the British version of the show in 2015, decided to prank the judges on the German version of the show by pretending to be a normal contestant. She kicks off the performance with her hit ‘Your Song‘ before the judges push their buzzers only to ask who she is. She then describes herself as “a 26-year-old aspiring musician from London“.
The judges then say that her version of the song “sounded almost like the original”. They ask her name and look confused when she says “Rita Ora“, they then ask if she’s “a double” for the singer. Eventually, Ora is forced to reveal that it was actually her. Watch below.
Ora seemed unfazed by the doubts of the judges on revealing herself. Once the panel realised what was going on, they expressed how honoured they were to have her as a guest on the show.
