Music Premiere: Lily Beau Unveils Debut EP ‘Little Old Me’ – A Soulful Journey of Self-Discovery and Growth

Lily Beau is thrilled to announce the release of her debut EP, Little Old Me. The compilation of tracks is a beautiful and contemplative collection of songs that dig into themes of unrequited love, quarter-life crises, and inner healing. For the singer-songwriter, who has been honing her voice inside her bedroom for years and is finally ready to share it with the public, the EP marks a major turning point.

Despite her behind-the-scenes success, Lily never lost sight of her own musical aspirations. She continued writing and performing, releasing Welsh-language music and taking the stage at iconic venues like the Troubadour, Spice of Life, Proud Camden, Royal Festival Hall, and Cardiff City Stadium. Along the way, she supported renowned artists such as Jack Savoretti, Joel Culpepper, and Mace the Great.

Teaming up with producer Nate Williams in 2023, Lily brought her bedroom-crafted songs to life, culminating in the creation of Little Old Me. The EP showcases a seamless blend of pop, folk, and singer-songwriter influences, highlighting both her musical versatility and personal growth. With lead singles ‘Too Close’ and ‘Little Old Me’ already gaining acclaim, including airplay on BBC Radio Wales’ Welsh A-List and features on BBC Introducing, Lily’s debut is positioned to make waves.

Reflecting on the EP, Lily shares, “These songs have been my therapy, written over the years as I navigated love, anxiety, and the process of growing up. From writing about childhood crushes to dealing with the realities of adulthood, every note and lyric is a piece of me.”

Among her career highlights, Lily has performed alongside musical legends such as Bob Geldof, Imelda May, and Stewart Copeland as part of Tony Visconti’s Unsigned Heroes project for Sky Arts. She also represented Wales at the Nobel Peace Centre, and composed and performed the theme for the Welsh Government’s post-pandemic reopening, a performance that was attended by Queen Elizabeth II. Adding to her artistic accomplishments, Lily starred in the 2022 Welsh Bafta-winning film ‘Y Sŵn’ and led the 2021 Bafta-nominated TV series ‘Y Goleudy’.

Little Old Me, marks Lily’s first English-language musical debut, capturing both her vulnerability and strength. “I’ve had some of these songs in my notebooks since I was 17,” she says. “I can’t wait for the world to hear them and for my music to finally exist beyond my bedroom walls.”

As Lily Beau embarks on this exciting new chapter, her deeply personal and heartfelt songs are sure to resonate with listeners everywhere. With Little Old Me, Lily proves that her voice, once confined to the walls of her bedroom, is ready to soar.
