Premiere: Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra Unite for the Poignant ‘No Reason To Change’

In a stirring new release, Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra have joined forces to deliver ‘No Reason To Change’, a poignant and uplifting pop song enriched with orchestral grandeur. This heartfelt track explores the universal longing for unconditional acceptance, urging us to let down our guards, embrace vulnerability, and trust that openness leads to genuine strength and connection.

At its core, ‘No Reason To Change’ is a reflection on self-acceptance, reminding listeners that despite our imperfections, we are worthy of love just as we are. The song is both an emotional anthem and a comforting embrace, encouraging us to shed the pressure of societal expectations and embrace our authentic selves. Cabin Fever Orchestra brings his two musical worlds—pop songwriting and orchestral composition—together in a masterful blend of genres that showcases his remarkable versatility and depth as an artist.

“Usually, my pop songs and orchestral works are so different from one another that they don’t sound alike in the slightest,” says Cabin Fever Orchestra (the moniker of Graeme Cornies). “But this song represents the intersection of both of those sides of my musical voice, where a listener can hear how both projects would’ve naturally arisen from the same musical mind. I hear both projects distinctly, and I think this song somehow bridges those two distinct musical universes.”

The recording process for ‘No Reason To Change’ began with a simple but stirring foundation—guitar and vocals—before expanding into a lush orchestral arrangement. Longtime collaborators Joshua Van Tassel (producer/composer) and Drew Jurecka (violin/viola) lent their expertise, while Ben Trigg on cello and Bruno Migliari on double bass enriched the track’s sonic landscape. The final polish came courtesy of Heather Kirby at Dreamlands Mastering, ensuring that every emotional nuance is beautifully captured.

The song’s contributors are no strangers to working with Cornies. Van Tassel and Jurecka’s previous collaborations have been pivotal in shaping Cabin Fever Orchestra’s past releases, while Migliari’s resonant double bass was a standout feature on ‘Ever Presence’, a previous track by Cabin Fever Orchestra. Together, this team of seasoned musicians brings their diverse talents to ‘No Reason To Change’, creating a seamless fusion of the orchestral and pop worlds that define Graeme’s unique musical voice.

As an artist who has spent over a decade reinterpreting Fred Rogers’ iconic music for the beloved children’s show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Cornies has long been influenced by Rogers’ message of self-acceptance. His deep connection to this philosophy is clear in ‘No Reason To Change’. “Fred Rogers’ philosophy—that we are worthy of love just as we are—has been in my head for more than a decade. ‘No Reason To Change’ echoes this sentiment, reminding us all that we don’t need to achieve or become something else to be deserving of love.”

On the release, Cornies reflects, “At first glance, ‘No Reason To Change’ might seem like a romantic love song—about building trust, acceptance, and embracing one another as individuals, but this song could just as easily be sung to a child, or by a child to a parent, or to anyone with whom we share our lives.”

With ‘No Reason To Change’, Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra offer an evocative reminder that we are all worthy of love—no matter our flaws or fears. The song’s orchestral accompaniment adds a timeless and cinematic quality, making it not only a musical journey but also an emotional one.

Don’t miss out on this moving release—a perfect blend of pop melody and orchestral richness, underscored by a message of love, acceptance, and the strength found in vulnerability.
