Reflecting on the experience, Gemelo shared that the song’s inspiration came from one of the most breathtaking moonrises he had ever seen, made unforgettable by the loved ones who shared it with him. “It was one of the most beautiful moonrises I had ever seen, and I realized it was because of the people I was with. I originally wrote about the fear of losing those moments, but instead chose to focus on how they made me feel,” he explains. The production of “With The Moon” is a collaborative triumph between Gemelo and longtime collaborator Ean Aguila, who worked on the track remotely from the Philippines. Aguila, inspired by the versatile capabilities of Gemelo’s DAW (Reason) and the innovative sounds of Filipino artist Manic Mundane, brought a fresh, boundary-pushing approach to the production. Aguila shares, “This release challenged me to take the production in a new direction. It was a hard process, but ultimately satisfying and inspiring.” The track’s soundscape is lush and dynamic, balancing shimmering synth textures with subtle percussive elements that enhance the song’s ethereal, reflective quality.
