Camryn Quinlan is a singer-songwriter based in New York who is captivating fans with her reflective and personal songwriting. Ahead of her forthcoming debut EP, If We’re Being Honest, she shares the stunning music video for her current single ‘Light Of Day’. We exclusively share the new video for it here at Music Crowns.
‘Light of Day’, which was produced by Baldvin Hlynsson, begins with a contemplative tone as Camryn’s smooth vocals flow over a strummed acoustic guitar. The song’s catchy chorus begins with a wash of choral vocal harmonies to emphasise the primary theme, which is followed by layers of warming bass and complex bluesy piano. Throughout the song, Camryn’s reflective, sincere, and eminently relatable lyrics are evident. The tune transitions into a contemplative middle eight, grows again into a climactic final chorus, and adds djembe and percussion to the second chorus. These complex musical components change the backdrop of the song from one of intimacy to one of optimism and film, leading to a chorus that is both intimate and broadly relatable.
“Light of Day is about finding someone that makes your life better just by coming into it. It’s a song that lets you appreciate a special person that changes the day to day life for you and makes the darkness you face, a little easier,” Camryn shares on the release,
We love the song and the video just adds to what is already solidifying her as an exciting new artist to watch. We look forward to hearing what else she has in store for us in 2025…
