Lush, subversive and with a slow-burning class, the debut single from Baron Goodlove and the Dreadful Noise is certainly a promising one. Goodlove, a young song writer who seemingly splits his time between London and Hertfordshire, has produced a song with a real edge – something a little different to a lot of what’s in the mainstream at the moment, but you get the feeling that’s exactly what he had in mind.
The song has been released as a free download (see link below) as both an introduction to and promotion for an EP which is due soon. If the other songs match up to this one, we might just have a contender on our hands.
It’s the kind of music you can imagine digging out a cult following for a number of years before becoming an ‘overnight success’ somewhere down the line. And on this early evidence, Baron Goodlove and his merry band would deserve it.
