Heavy metal fans in London now have a new spot to add to their list of places to hang out – Raven Records. This unique record shop, coffee shop and alcohol free bar is the first of its kind in the world, offering a full range of 0.0% ABV drinks. As its name suggests, Raven Records has a heavy metal theme and is located in the heart of Camden Town.
Behind this innovative concept are the owners, Ben and Chloe. Both with strong ties to the music industry, they wanted to create a space for people to socialise without the pressure to consume alcohol. Ben, a recovering alcoholic of 16 years, runs a secular twelve-step program and wanted to provide a safe and alternative environment for those in recovery. Chloe, a former professional DJ, brings her love for heavy metal to the mix. But Raven Records is more than just an alcohol-free bar. It also serves as a community hub for the metal and alternative scenes. The owners also host recovery meetings in the space, making it a safe haven for those in need. The bar’s alcohol-free offering is targeted towards both non-drinking fans and those looking to try something new. With the rising trend of people drinking less or abstaining from alcohol altogether, Raven Records fills a much-needed gap in the market.
They offer a variety of 0.0% drinks, including seven types of alcohol-free whiskey, gin, vodka, tequila, and botanical and mood enhancing spirits. They also stock a range of 0.0% beers and ciders, including popular brands like Guinness and Stella, and even have Heineken 0.0 on tap. For those looking for something a little more unique, Raven Records also carries products from brands like Liquid Death and CBD and mood enhancing drinks from Trip, Goodrays, and Peak. Located just 100 meters from Camden Town station, Raven Records is open Thursday to Monday from 12 pm to 8 pm. So, whether you‘re looking for an alcohol-free start to a big night out or a place to hang out during Dry January, make sure to stop by Raven Records for a unique and metal-inspired experience.
